The design looks rather heavy and cumbersome to be an effective DMR, what with the F2000 stock and G36 handguard. Additionally, the muzzle break looks to be designed for larger rounds than Lapua Magnum (which already can be effective at ranges up to 1000 meters.)
A DMR is designed for quick, precise shots at distances of under 700 meters. Longer-range rifles, using rounds such as .416 and the infamous .50BMG, are used for even longer shots; the longest-range sniper kill record was broken by a Canadian in Afghanistan with a 2.7km shot and a bigass rifle.
The US Armed Forces adopted a DMR known as the PSD, designed by LWRC, and is based on the M4 carbine. In fact, it uses the same ammunition, but still manages to serve its purpose as a DMR.
